Chevrolet Reveals New Police Pursuit Blazer EV

Chevrolet has expanded its Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) fleet to include the Blazer EV into the mix. General Motor’s initiative is to become an all-electric manufacturer by 2035 to civilian and PPV vehicles alike. The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV will be the first pursuit-rated all-electric Chevrolet in more than 60 years of tailoring vehicles for law enforcement. While more specifications along with range will be revealed closer to launch, in the first quarter of 2024, we do know that it will be based off the Blazer EV SS retail model.

Chevrolet Silverado EV Receives 150,000 Reservations

Last week General Motors CEO, Mary Barra, announced on an investors’ call that the Chevrolet Silverado EV has received a lot of support and interest from potential customers resulting in 150,000 reservations! What’s even more exciting is that 65 percent of the reservations received are from conquest customers, or new customers not already affiliated with a General Motors brand, allowing us to branch out to even more people! Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, including a great selection of Silverados!

It will be offered in multiple trims and range options with the availability to choose between front, rear, and all-wheel-drive configurations to fit your lifestyle. Consumers will have the option to choose from a 1LT, 2LT, RS, and Chevy’s first-ever electric SS performance model. Illinois Electric Vehicle Rebate Program

The Illinois EPA has opened up the EV Rebate Program for Illinois residents. Applicants must submit their application between July 1, 2022 and September 3, 2022 to have the opportunity to receive a $4,000 rebate for the purchase of an all-electric vehicle, such as a Chevrolet Bolt! In order to qualify you must meet the eligibility requirements provided by the EPA. In addition to meeting these requirements you need to include a copy of your purchase invoice, proof of purchase, vehicle registration, and IRS W-9 or W-8 forms with your application. With electric vehicles on the rise GM has given us another sneak peek of the highly anticipated 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV SS. A few noteworthy features include a frontend design, large two-tone wheels, and horizontal lighting bits with the SS badging. While this is a preproduction vehicle, the final model may vary slightly. Chevrolet recently gave us a glimpse of what we can expect from the new 2024 Equinox EV. While the RS trim line is slated to become available in Fall of 2023, we are unsure of when the LT (model shown) will be released. 2023 Bolt EUV Gets New Redline Edition

2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV Door Panels Redesigned

Earlier this year, the highly anticipated 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV was announced worldwide. Last month, onlookers were able to see it in person at the New York International Auto Show, and it did not disappoint. Recently, Silverado EV Executive Chief Engineer, Josh Tavel, revealed that the truck will be undergoing a redesign before reaching production- specifically focusing on the interior door panels. Implementing a lower compartment with dividers and cutouts will be added to allow for water bottle storage and other miscellaneous items.

2024 Blazer SS and Equinox EV Update

General Motors announced the 2024 Equinox EV at CES 2022 at the beginning of the year, with the announcement of the Chevy Blazer SS following in March. Despite the Equinox’s reveal first, the Blazer SS will be produced first. GM CEO, Mary Barra, has confirmed that the Blazer will enter production mid-2023, with the Equinox following later that year. While the Blazer will focus on performance, the Equinox is intended to appeal to the mass market with an approximate $30,000 starting price.
