Every year as the weather turns colder, Phillips Chevrolet collaborates with the Frankfort Lions Club to collect coats for families in need and give the gift of warmth during the holiday season. This year with more than two weeks left in our coat drive, the collection box in our waiting room filled up so fast that we asked the Lions Club to come out for a pickup to make room for more coats. We deeply appreciate the generosity of our patrons and staff to help make our coat drive a huge success!

Members of the Phillips Chevrolet team took the opportunity to support The
Cancer Support Center by participating in their 2022 Walk of Hope. Serving
over 100 Chicago Southland communities, the Cancer Support Center exists
to provide strength, guidance, and support to anyone impacted by
cancer. For the past 30 years, they've empowered and improved the
quality of life of cancer survivors, patients, and their loved ones.Â
In honor of his nomination for Time Ally Dealer of the year, this morning Phillips Chevrolet President Curtis Pascarella and Vice President Donna Pascarella presented a check for $1,000 to General Community Leader Sister Joyce Shanabarger of the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart. These funds will help the Franciscan Sisters in their work in health care, education, parish ministry, diocesan ministry, retreat ministry, bodywork, and ministry among the poor, as well as supporting the Franciscan Foundation which helps support the work of non-profit organizations in the United States that reach out to the poor around the world through health, education and social services
Phillips Chevrolet salutes those who serve! This year, we showed our appreciation by offering free oil changes and tire rotations to Active Duty Military, Reservists, National Guard Members, and Veterans on November 11th and 12th. Between our three locations, we provided these services to 56 veterans this year, including Dennis Morgan seen here with Assistant Service Manager Stacy Davis.
Phillips Chevrolet would like to send out a big thank you to everyone who helped make our Blood Drive a huge success! Our goal was to collect 25 units of blood donations and we smashed it with 41 total units collected. The American Red Cross tells us that each unit donated can help save up to three lives. We'd like to thank the members of our team and the members of the public who joined in to donate, as well as the team from the American Red Cross who took great care of the donors. Special thanks go out to Phillips Chevrolet of Lansing's Executive Assistant Gina Montealegre who did an amazing job planning, organizing, and making sure the event ran smoothly.
Next time you're on the Old Plank Trail here in Frankfort, keep an eye out for signs marking the section of trail Phillips Chevrolet has adopted, from 108th Avenue to Wolf Road. We have teamed with the Will County Forest Preserve District to help maintain this section of trail. We appreciate the Forest Preserve District's hard work making our communities beautiful and fun places to live and we're happy to do our part to keep these natural areas safe and well-maintained.
Phillips Chevrolet reached our 51st Anniversary at the beginning of October, and to celebrate we raised money all month long for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. This morning, Phillips Chevrolet President Curtis Pascarella (left) and Phillips Chevrolet General Manager Mike Maheras (right) present a check to Karen Bruck from South Suburban Making Strides (center) for $15,000. All three Phillips locations helped us reach our goal, and we thank them for their hard work!

Every winter, we team up with the community to give the gift of
warmth
to local families in need this holiday season. During the holiday season, stop by the showroom of any Phillips Chevrolet location with your donation of new or gently used winter gear,
including
coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and/or socks to help those in need.

"This provides an excellent opportunity for our students to practice their driving skills in new automobiles."

USO Barbecue for the Troops
Everyone here at Phillips
Chevrolet would like to thank all the great folks who came out for our
Barbecue for the Troops this Summer. Thanks to you, we
raised money to help the USO provide a home away from home for our
troops and help keep them connected to their families.

Phillips Auto Group is proud to have teamed with Chevrolet and the National Future Farmers of America to award a $1,000 scholarship to Anna Hickman of Clifton, Illinois. Anna was one of 1,800 finalists to be awarded a scholarship, from over 8,800 applicants, based on her leadership, academic record, FFA and other school/community activities, and future goals. This fall, Anna will head to Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais to study Engineering and we wish her great success.
In November of 2018 to celebrate our 50th Anniversary, Phillips Chevrolet presented a check for $27,650 to representatives from the American Cancer Society for their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer program. The money raised will help the American Cancer Society fund breast cancer research, provide free information and support, and help people reduce their breast cancer risk. Thank you to Myra and Karen for visiting us today, and to everyone who helped make this donation possible.

Phillips Chevrolet is proud to participate in the Chevrolet Youth Baseball Program, a grassroots initiative to support local communities. Each year, each Phillips Chevy location supports a local youth baseball team with donations of equipment and a sponsorship check.

Phillips Chevrolet serves as a collection point for donations to local food pantries. Both Phillips Chevrolet Frankfort and Phillips Chevrolet Lansing have collected over 3,000 items non-perishable grocery items to support our local food banks. Both locations serve as drop-off locations year round, so please help us continue to support local families in need. You can drop your donations off in the showroom of either location during regular business hours.

Holiday Toys For Tots Toy Drive
Phillips Chevrolet is proud to serve as a drop-off point for Toys for Tots every holiday season. With your help, we have donated over $1,000 worth of toys for kids in need to find under their trees during the holiday season.

Phillips Chevrolet raised $8800 for the Children's Heart Foundation to help advance Congenital Heart Defect Research. Congenital Heart Defects are America's #1 birth defect, affecting nearly 40,000 babies a year. In the US, twice as many children die from CHDs than from all forms of childhood cancer, but pediatric cancer research funding is five times higher than CHD research funding. For every new vehicle we sold in February, we donated $25 to the Children's Heart Foundation to help advance CHD research. A big thank you to all the great folks who came out and chose a new car or truck from Illinois' Largest Chevy Inventory and helped us help this great cause!

Phillips Chevrolet is proud to support Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo and the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation in the battle against cancer. Anthony realized during his own battle with cancer that no matter how difficult fighting cancer was to him, it was even more difficult for his family. Anthony believes that an individual does not battle cancer, but that the whole family does. The Mission of the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation is to raise money for cancer research and to provide support to children and their families battling the disease.

Everyone here at Phillips Chevrolet would like to thank all the great folks who participated in our Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events during the month of October. Thanks to you, we raised $23,000 for the American Cancer Society. Whether you donated when you were visiting our service department, stopped in to our showroom to buy a raffle ticket, or came to our in-store signing event with the Chicago Bears' Michael Bush, we couldn't have done it without your support. We would also like to congratulate Stephanie Moretti from Shorewood, Illinois (pictured to the left with Phillips Chevrolet's General Manager Michael Maheras) who won our Chevy Spark raffle. Of her new car, Stephanie said, "I can't wait to drive it. I love all the stuff inside and the pink is awesome!"
