MotorTrend magazine recently announced their finalists for the 2023 Truck of the Year, and we are pleased to report that the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is among the contenders. MotorTrend studied all the trucks that were all-new or significantly redesigned or refreshed for the 2023 model year, and judged them based on six criteria: Advancement in Design, Efficiency, Engineering Excellence, Performance of Intended Function, Safety and Value. J.D. Power recently put the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado and 2023 Toyota Tacoma in the ring together, and the Colorado came out victorious. Revealed late September of this year, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD introduces a mid-cycle refresh, bringing multiple exterior enhancements, an overhauled cabin, and upgraded technology. Among the upgraded technology is a new feature called GCW Alert, a system that will measure the gross combination weight while trailering. With the feature toggled on through the user’s trailer profile in the trailer app, the aid will predict the gross combination mass of the truck and trailer based on axle torque and vehicle acceleration.

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax has wooed fans with its new redesign.
