The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is due to begin production next year, and we can’t wait! General Motors has already released images of what the EV truck will look like at the Work Truck trim level, but thanks to these spy shots, we now get our first look at the RST trim. This sportier trim level features 24-inch wheels and a light bar that runs the full width of the front fascia, as well as a modern cabin loaded with the latest tech. GM utility sales have grown 27 percent since this time last year and Chevrolet commanded over half, or 61 percent of those total sales! In Q3 of 2021, utility sales were sitting at 220,731, with the Chevrolet Equinox having 32,444 units out. This year GM sold 281,265 units with the Equinox posting over a 44 percent increase to 46,646 units representing about 1/6^th of all GM sales with the Tahoe and Traverse following. Sixty-seven years ago, a phone call was made and a tradition began. A young child called a local phone number in the newspaper that advertised Santa’s phone number. Little did the child know, the wrong number was reached and the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD) Operations Center in Colorado Springs, CO was contacted instead of Santa! The colonel on duty that night urged his operators to find Santa’s location and report it to everyone who called in. Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, and wishes everyone a happy holiday!

Currently in its third model year, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette has recently been named to Car and Driver’s prestigious “10Best Cars” list for 2023. This win marks the sixth consecutive year for the Corvette. The C8 was praised for its driver versatility, catering to the grand tourer, daily grocery-getter, and track monster. In order to be a contender for the list, vehicles must be a sedan, hatchback, two-seater, sports car or electric sports car and must be available for sale by January 31^st and priced under $110,000.

Last month, Chevrolet unveiled the FNR—XE Concept in China to showcase the future of what Ultium-powered electric vehicles have to offer the market. While Chevrolet noted that this vehicle was custom developed for the Chinese market, there may be hope that we’ll see something similar in the United States. Days before the concept vehicle was unveiled in China, GM President Mark Reuss confirmed during the GM Investor Day presentation on November 17^th, 2022 that Chevrolet is working on a “low-roof” midsize EV with “sedan-like proportions” - believing to having been referring to the FNR.
