It turns out that the rumors of the Chevrolet Bolt EV’s demise have been greatly exaggerated, as today General Motors announced that a new and improved Bolt will return to dealer showrooms. “Our customers love today’s Bolt. It has been delivering record sales and some of the highest customer satisfaction and loyalty scores in the industry,” said GM Chair and CEO Mary Barra. “We will keep the momentum going by delivering a new Bolt and we will execute it more quickly.” The next generation Bolt will be built on General Motors’ Ultium battery platform and feature their Ultify technology that allows over-the-air software updates. No word yet on when the all-new Bolt will debut, but there are plenty of electric Chevrolets to look forward to in the meantime. With the Chevy Blazer EV and Silverado EV arriving later this year, and the Chevy Equinox EV not far behind, Chevrolet will soon offer an electric vehicle that can meet just about any driver’s needs! Phillips Chevrolet of Frankfort, Lansing, and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory including a great selection of electric vehicles in stock now!
