Phillips Chevrolet has the Halloween spirit, and to celebrate, we have a spooky event coming up soon! On Friday, October 28^th from 4pm to 6pm our Bradley location will be hosting a Trunk or Treat event at our dealership - located where I-57 meets Route 50. There will be pizza, fun activities, and of course, lots of sweet treats! We will also be participating in the Frankfort Police Department’s Trunk or Treat event on October 29^th from 10am-12pm at the Breidert Green municipal lot. We hope to see you there! 

Earlier this week Chevrolet announced a power boost to the highly anticipated 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV. Initially advertised in January with 684 horsepower and 780 lb-ft torque, engineers have squeezed even more out of it. “GM now estimates horsepower to be up to 754 and torque up to estimated up to 785 lb-ft when Wide Open Watts mode is engaged”, a Chevrolet spokesperson says. Wide Open Watts or WOW, is a special mode that enables the max power and acceleration figures to be sustained over longer periods of time. 

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and here at Phillips Chevrolet  we are joining the fight! We have dedicated the month of October to raising funds for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative. General Manager, Michael Maheras, checks our progress board to see that we have reached $10,525, surpassing our goal of $10,000 by month’s end! The American Cancer Society will use these funds for breast cancer research, providing information and support, and programs to help early detection and breast cancer risk reduction.

For the second year in a row, The Times Media Company revealed Southland’s Best Lists. After accumulating more than 77,000 votes from 5,000 voters in more than 170 categories, the best businesses, restaurants, services, places to live, and more were revealed throughout Frankfort, Mokena, New Lenox, Orland Park and Tinley Park. One of the categories that was polled was the “Best Auto Salesperson” and we’re happy to announce that Phillips Chevrolet’s own, Steve Sorensen, took first place. Keep up the great work, Steve!

Who says you need a truck to tow? In addition to trucks, Chevrolet offers a variety of vehicles capable of hauling your cargo and the Traverse is one of them! Customers can customize their Traverse to tailor it to their towing needs. The Traverse is equipped with a 3.6L V6 naturally aspirated gas engine. Directed through its 9-speed automatic transmission, its output is rated at a maximum of 310 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 266 pound-feet torque at 2,800 rpm.
