Earlier this week GM Authority spotted what looks to be a mysterious prototype for a new crossover model. It was first sighted last fall under the assumption of it being the next-generation Chevy Equinox, but now we know the Equinox is being transformed into an EV. We speculate that this crossover could join the current Trailblazer and Equinox in Chevy’s crossover portfolio. Earlier this week General Motors released a teaser clip of the Blazer SS, which will utilize the BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) platform, along with its proprietary Ultium battery technology and Ultium Drive electric motors. While we’re unsure of the drive specs, we anticipate the Chevy Blazer SS to output around 480 horsepower and 634 pound-feet of torque to be comparative if not superior to its competitors.
