200,000 Chevy Electric Vehicles Going Strong

The Chevrolet Bolt EV and Chevy Volt have earned plenty of awards and accolades since they were first introduced in 2011 for the Volt and 2017 for the Bolt, but this week we learned something even more impressive about Chevrolet’s electric duo. With over 200,000 battery-propelled vehicles sold, not a single one has needed its battery pack replaced because of degradation. Compare that to the Nissan Leaf, with one model recording an average of 51 percent degradation after seven years of use. With the Chevy Bolt providing 236 miles of electric range on a single charge and the…
Congratulations to our Salesperson of the Year

Phillips Chevrolet is proud to honor sales consultant Rami Alamawi who was recently named our Salesperson of the Year for 2018, the ninth year in a row that he has been awarded this honor. Rami was not only the top-selling sales consultant at our dealership, he also sold more cars than any other Chevy sales consultant in Illinois for seven years in a row. Rami had sold nearly 5,000 vehicles total and received more than 500 positive customer reviews on DealerRater. Of these distinctions, Rami says, “We’ve got a great team here at Phillips, and the whole dealership…
Exciting Updates Coming Soon to Chevy Crossovers

The growing Chevy family of crossover utility vehicles may soon be getting even bigger. Hot on the heels of the all-new 2019 Chevy Blazer, could an updated version of the Chevy TrailBlazer be in the works, too? Automotive blogs on the internet seem to think so. It has been speculated that a new Trailblazer could be similar in size to the Trax, but offer sportier styling and upgraded features like the new Blazer provides. The teaser image above is feeding speculation and opinions seem to be split on whether it is an all-new Trailblazer or an updated look for the…
Mid-Engine Corvette Spotted in Detroit

We’ve been waiting for a few years now for the long-rumored mid-engine version of the Chevrolet Corvette to become official. There’s still no official word yet, but another camouflaged test Corvette was spotted this week in Detroit, headed toward General Motors’ Milford Proving Grounds test facility. This time we get a good look at the steering wheel which appears to have a sporty flat top (and probably bottom). Could the next-gen Corvette be in town for a rumored surprise reveal at next week’s Detroit Auto Show? Chevrolet is staying tight lipped, but fingers crossed! In the meantime…
Deep Discounts on Remaining 2018 Silverados

We were all excited for the arrival of the all-new 2019 Chevy Silverado, but that doesn’t mean that the outgoing model isn’t a great truck, too. The 2018 Silverado 1500 still offers best-in-class available V8 horsepower and fuel economy, 12,500 pounds of maximum available towing, and a suite of available safety and infotainment technologies including 4G wi-fi. And now is a great time to pick up a new pickup as generous incentives have deducted $10,000 off the price of more than half of the 63 2018 Silverado 1500s still in our inventory. Hurry in for a…

2018 Was a Great Year for Chevy Crossovers

The growing Chevy family of crossover utility vehicles had a terrific year in 2018. The Chevy crossover lineup all earned double-digit increases in sales over 2017. Sales of the Chevy Traverse were up 19 percent, the Equinox was up 15 percent, and the Chevy Trax had a 13 percent increase. All three crossovers also earned 5-Star overall safety ratings from the NHTSA, as well as awards like Best Family Car nods from US News and Parents magazine for the Traverse, and KBB awards for technology and efficiency for the Trax. And that crossover success is sure to crossover into 2019…
Could Mid-Engine Corvette Get a Surprise Reveal This Month?

We’ve been following all of the clues for a few years now, waiting for the long-rumored mid-engine version of the Chevrolet Corvette to become official. The latest round of rumors alleges that the wait could finally be over in less than two weeks. Members of an online Corvette owners forum claim that the Corvette will be revealed in a surprise event on January 14th during press days at the Detroit Auto Show. It’s all still speculation at this point, but the clues keep adding up to a new mid-engine Corvette, hopefully to be unveiled sometime this year…
