When the team here at Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort learned that the Special Olympics Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run would be passing right in front of our dealership this morning, we all hurried out to cheer the team on. Local law enforcement officers from the Frankfort Police Department participated to help raise funds and awareness for the Special Olympics. Special Olympics Illinois says, “The Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) is the largest public awareness and fundraising movement benefitting Special Olympics. The Illinois chapter raises roughly $5 million each year for our athletes, supported by thousands of passionate officers around the state.” We salute the FPD in their support of the cause as well as their work every day helping keep our community safe.
