It’s cold out there, but that doesn’t mean you need to be! General Motors recently compiled some tips to make winter driving more comfortable and efficient for drivers of electric vehicles like the Chevy Equinox EV and Blazer EV. For folks who charge at home, they recommend keeping your Chevy EV plugged in whenever you’re not using it to make sure you’ve got plenty of juice for your drive and to run the climate control. Heated steering wheels and seats use less energy than heating the whole cabin, so they’re a great choice for quick trips. One pedal driving and regenerative braking will capture energy to send back to your battery to give you a little extra power back. Finally, a tip that’s just as important for ICE vehicles as EVs – keep your tires inflated to the recommended tire pressure to maximize fuel efficiency. Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory and a great election of award-winning Chevy EVs.
