This study measures the number of problems and level of satisfaction experienced during the first 90 days of ownership, with 92,694 vehicle purchasers and lessees of new 2025 model-year vehicles surveyed. This study goes beyond comfort to also address how easy the seat controls are to use and how easy it is for drivers to find the “sweet spot” that maximizes comfort, ease of access to the vehicle’s controls, and visibility. “Seat and powertrain are the two categories that most influence vehicle appeal and satisfaction,” said Lisa Boor, senior manager of auto benchmarking and mobility development at J.D.
