Earlier this month, Chevrolet released a new teaser video offering a hint at the engine sound of the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, and now we have an official date for the reveal! Mark your calendar for July 25th to get your first look at what is likely to be the most powerful Corvette ever, a title currently held by the C7 ZR1, which provided 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque. The soon-to-be-revealed C8 ZR1 is expected to offer somewhere near 800 hp with the help of twin turbochargers added to the C8 Z06’s 5.5L V8 engine. From the shadowy glimpses we’ve seen so far, the ZR1 will also have the same widebody design as the current Z06 and E-Ray Corvette variants, as well as a large rear wing.
