The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky just released Corvette sales stats for the 2023 model year and they offer a fun glimpse into driver’s preferences when it comes to America’s sportscar. In 2023, 53,785 drivers added a new Chevrolet Corvette to their garages, which falls only 22 units short of the all-time Corvette production record of 53,807 set in 1979. 27,943 of the new 2023 Corvettes were coupes, while 25,842 were convertibles. The high performance Z06 Corvette accounted for 6,413 of the 2023 Corvettes sold. Little red Corvettes made up more than 25% of the Corvettes sold, with 7,895 Torch Red examples and 5,785 in Red Mist. Corvette owners who chose the brown metallic Caffeine color (shown above) may be sitting on a future collector’s item, with only 536 in that color built in 2023.
