The North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) Awards are among the most prestigious in the automotive industry. That’s why we’re so excited to share the news that of 25 semifinalists announced this week, five are Chevrolet models (more than any other automaker), and four of those are EVs or hybrids! The Chevrolet Blazer EV and Equinox EV contend for North American Utility Vehicle of the Year. The Corvette E-Ray, which gains extra power thanks to an electric motor in addition to an internal-combustion V8, is in the running for North American Car of the Year. And both the Chevy Silverado EV and ICE-powered Chevy Colorado compete for North American Truck of the Year. Most of the nominated Chevys have yet to arrive here at Phillips Chevrolet, but the Colorado is here and ready to test drive today. “The value of these awards is in the expertise and diverse perspectives of our jurors,” said NACTOY president Jeff Gilbert. “We all evaluate vehicles in a different way. In the end, we come to a consensus. The vehicles on this list are worthy of further evaluation, and we look forward to spending more time driving them, learning more about them and comparing them with the competition.” Three finalists winners in each category will be announced in November with the winners announced in January. Phillips Chevrolet of Frankfort, Lansing, and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory including a great selection of award-winning vehicles!
