The upcoming 2024 Corvette C8 will be equipped with IntelliBeam automatic high-beam headlamps as a standard on all variants. IntelliBeams will automatically switch on high beams when the vehicle is at speeds of 25mph or greater, and switch off when it detects the headlights of opposing traffic, or taillights of a vehicle ahead. The 2024 Corvette will also get several other GM safety technology systems that have been common on most GM vehicles, but absent from the 2023 Corvette and earlier model years. One safety feature being added is Automatic Emergency Braking along with other new safety equipment. The 2024 Corvette will introduce a new hybrid variant of the Vette nameplate, the Corvette C8 E-Ray. Details of the new Corvette and E-Ray variant will be fully available when the online configurator goes live on July 18th. Production of the 2024 Corvette will begin on September 5th, just four days after the 2023 Corvette will cease production.
