Candidates are determined by evaluating nearly every car, truck or SUV that’s available on the market and selecting three Top Rated finalists in six different segments - afterwards Edmunds crowns one from each segment as the winner. Factors such as performance, comfort, technology, fuel economy and value are all taken into consideration. As a reminder, the Bolt starts at $27,495, making it one of the least expensive new cars you can buy in 2023, let alone one that’s fully electric. It undercuts other electric vehicles like the Tesla Model 3 by $20,000+ and the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo significantly more. In terms of mileage, its 259 miles of EPA-estimated range beats out its similarly priced competitors such as the Mini Cooper SE and Mazda MX-30 who only serve around 100 miles of range. Simply put, Edmunds states the Chevrolet Bolt EV is the best bang-for-your-buck EV on the market and we couldn’t agree more!
