GM Partners with EVgo and Pilot to Fight Range Anxiety

 

One of the biggest concerns drivers face when considering an electric vehicle is range anxiety for long road trips, the fear that the vehicle will run out of charge with no charging locations nearby. A new partnership between General Motors, charging station provider EVgo, and Pilot Travels Centers aims to make that fear a thing of the past. The installation of a network of 2,000 fast-charging stalls located at 500 Pilot and Flying J locations across the country is underway, with the first 17 locations opening this week. The partners aim to have 25 locations and 100 chargers open by the end of the year, and 200 locations by the end of 2024. Their goal is to place fast chargers at 50-mile intervals along major travel routes across the country, and since all Chevy EVs have a range of well over 200 miles, there will always be a compatible charger on your route.
