Last week, General Motors President, Mark Reuss, spoke at the GM Investor Day event to discuss vehicles that we can expect to see in the future. Although he didn’t specify or verify the name of the new models, he did provide insights on not one but two future Corvettes. In regard to the first Corvette, the C8 ZR1, Reuss stated, “as C8 was designed as an early architecture, we keep stepping it up, so this will again set the standard of the world for performance for Chevrolet, and I couldn’t be more excited for that.” The second anticipated Corvette, the C8 Zora, is expected to have a twin turbo, hybrid V8 powerplant, and AWD system, similar to the C8 E-Ray. In addition, the Zora is expected to surpass 1,000 horsepower and 1,000 pound- feet of torque. Reuss hyped the Zora up by stating, “the next version of the C8 at the very top of the line would be something you won’t be able to imagine from a performance standpoint. We’ll put the world on notice with this car, it’s our platform of excellence.” We can’t wait to find out more about these vehicles in the future!
