Earlier this week General Motors released a teaser clip of the Blazer SS, which will utilize the BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) platform, along with its proprietary Ultium battery technology and Ultium Drive electric motors. While we’re unsure of the drive specs, we anticipate the Chevy Blazer SS to output around 480 horsepower and 634 pound-feet of torque to be comparative if not superior to its competitors. This model is especially exciting, not only because it’ll be an EV, but also due to the fact that this will be the first time since the 2009 Trailblazer SS that the SS badge will be applied to a crossover. From the teaser clip released on Wednesday, we saw a retractable charge door on the driver’s side of the vehicle as well as SS-branded alloy wheels. While we don’t know much else right now, we do know that we can’t wait to learn more about the Blazer SS later this year and are anticipating its arrival in the Spring of 2023.
