Every year JD Power releases the results from their Initial Quality Study, which surveys thousands of purchasers and lessees early in their ownership period on different aspects of their vehicle. The study is comprised of 223 questions broken into nine vehicle categories: infotainment; features, controls and displays; exterior; driving assistance; interior; powertrain; seats; driving experience, and climate. We’re happy to announce General Motors received 9 awards in total, with Chevrolet having six first-place vehicles in their respective segment. Within the “Car” segment, the Chevrolet Corvette was the Highest Initial Quality Model overall in addition to ranking first in the Premium Sporty Car segment. The Malibu also made an appearance topping the Midsize Car segment. In the SUV segment, both the Equinox and Tahoe took first place in the Compact SUV and Large SUV segment respectively, and in the Van and Pickup Segment, the Silverado and Silverado HD received the highest ranking in the Large Light and Large Heavy-Duty Pickup segments.
