Over the weekend at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction in Scottsdale, AZ, the first retail 2023 Corvette Z06 sold at auction for a whopping $3.6 million. This sale marks a new record for a charity vehicle donated by a manufacturer at the annual auction, surpassing the auction of the 2020 Corvette Stingray by $600,000! One hundred percent of the $3.6 million bid will go towards the non-profit organization, Operation Homefront. John Pray, Jr., president and CEO of Operation Homefront extended his gratitude towards Chevrolet and Barrett-Jackson in a statement, “We are deeply grateful to our friends at Chevrolet and Barrett-Jackson for choosing Operation Homefront as the beneficiary of this incredible auction. The proceeds from the sale of this sensational Corvette Z06 will go a long way to helping us help our military families overcome their financial hardships and have the opportunity to thrive in the communities – our communities – they’ve worked so hard to protect.” Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory and is proud to be a Chevrolet dealership.
