In an interview with CNBC this morning, Mark Reuss, General Motors President, revealed that there will be a gas-electric hybrid Corvette, followed by an all-electric version of the iconic sports car. While we are unsure of the all-electric version’s arrival, we can expect the hybrid vehicle some time next year. GM’s vision is to make their all-electric vision a reality and has taken many steps to make it possible. By donating $50 million to the Climate Equity Fund, developing EVs to be accessible by everyone at every price point, and creating their patented Ultium Platform, General Motors is on the road to disrupt the automotive industry before anyone else. By 2035, GM intends to exclusively sell electric vehicles and plans to have 30 new EVs globally by 2025. Phillips Chevrolet of Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, and is proud to be a General Motors dealership, paving the way towards an all- electric future.
