After the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado’s release last September, there have been multiple packages available to add on to the fan-favorite truck. Recently, added to the package option has been the Diesel Off-Road Package. Available for the LT and RST trim levels, the new package includes a 3.73 axle ratio, chrome assist steps, hard-folding tonneau cover, and LT275/65R18C MT Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac blackwall tires. Prerequisites for the package include four-wheel drive, a crew cab body style, the Z71 Off-Road Package, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine. As a reminder, the diesel engine produces 277 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and 460 pound-feet torque at 1,500 rpm. While we aren’t sure of the price point for the package yet, we do know that the Diesel Off-Road Package cannot be used in conjunction with the Max Trailering Package, Snow Plow Prep Package, Rally Edition, or Z71 Off-Road and Protection Package.
