After shutting down in late 2019, the GM Oshawa Assembly plant has rolled off its line the first 2022 Chevy Silverado HD. GM states, “Pickups are GM’s largest and most important market segment across the continent, and the Oshawa plant will help GM meet strong demand for its leading family of pickup trucks.” After carrying out one of the fastest plant launches in GM history, the first Oshawa-built GM trucks will begin arriving to their prospective dealers in December instead of their initially targeted date of January 2022.
