At a recent investor conference, General Motors Executive Vice President, Doug Parks, confirmed the production timeframe for the Silverado EV for the 2023 calendar year. Its debut is slated at the Consumer Electronics show early next year, with Mary Barra, General Motors CEO, as the keynote speaker. Four-wheel steering, improved handling and stability and enhancement of trailering dynamics are just a few of the capabilities we can expect. Powered by an all-electric powertrain, the Silverado EV will house GM’s Ultium battery technology along with their Ultium electric motor technology, allowing for an expected 400 miles per charge. In addition to the EV’s enhanced performance and enhanced technology, a fixed-glass roof, ambient lighting within the cabin, large infotainment screen, and 24-inch wheels are expected features for this highly anticipated vehicle.
