The Chevy Silverado is getting some big updates for the 2021 model year, including some new technology that will help take the guesswork out of trailering. A new Trailer Length Indicator activates when a trailer is hooked up and a turn signal is switched on. The in-dash screen will display a red overlay twice the length of the compatible trailer to show whether the truck and trailer have room to make a highway lane change. Jack-Knife Alert tracks the position of the trailer in relation to the Silverado and provides an alert of a potential jack-knife situation. Cargo Bed View provides a rear facing view of the truck that helps to align and hook up a gooseneck/fifth-wheel trailer.
