Each year, the Kogod School of Business has releases its American Made Index which ranks cars and trucks based on how much of the car’s manufacturing and research and development occurred in America and how much of the vehicle’s profits return to the American economy. We are pleased to report that the Chevy Camaro has landed in second place among the top ten most American-made vehicles with 83% American-made content. The Corvette and Colorado tied for third place with 82% American-made content. General Motors leads all manufacturers with an overall average of 70.6% American-made content, an improvement over last year’s score of 70%. Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, including plenty of American-made vehicles.
