The all-new redesigned Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban have been turning heads and earning rave reviews since they first arrived earlier this year. Now we’ve learned that they are in the running for the automotive industry’s most prestigious award, the North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year (NACTOY) Awards. The Tahoe and Suburban join 14 other vehicles in the Utility category. A team of 50 automotive journalists will assess the semi-finalists and reduce the field to finalists which will be announced in December. The final winners will be announced in January. “Many of the new models on our semifinalist list make bold statements that are intended to distinguish them within their segments,” said NACTOY President Gary Witzenburg. “Several are all-electric, while others have groundbreaking designs or off-the-chart capabilities.
