When rumors began circulation that the all-new 8th generation Chevrolet Corvette could be mid-engine, there were also rumors that it could include a version with an additional electric motor to provide even more power. Well, the mid-engine Vette rumors turned out to be true, and judging by this spy shot that shows an electric connector sticking out from under the hood, the hybrid rumors may be true as well. Unlike most hybrid vehicles, the Corvette’s electric motor wouldn’t be used to increase efficiency, but would instead boost performance. An electric motor could increase the Corvette’s already impressive 490 horsepower to 600 or more.
