Recent spy shots have confirmed that the Chevy Silverado will soon feature a multi-hinged tailgate like the Multi-Pro tailgate currently available and shown above on the GMC Sierra. GM has announced that in the Chevy lineup, this feature will be called Multi-Flex rather than Multi-Pro. This versatile tailgate can be positioned in several different configurations that allow easier access to the bed and help keep loads in the bed, even when the tailgate is lowered. It can also be flipped under to serve as a step to climb into the bed or flipped up to serve as a raised work surface. Sneak peeks like this have us even more excited to see what’s in store for the future of the Silverado and we can’t wait to see all the innovative ways Silverado drivers find to use this new tailgate – expect to see it for the 2022 model year!
