Dirt and mud enthusiasts already know the Chevy Colorado ZR2 is already an off-road beast, offering a truckload of rugged features including Multimatic position-sensitive dampers, front and rear electronic locking differentials, and a two-inch suspension lift. Now rumors have begun to circulate that the ZR2 will soon get an enhancement named “Baja mode,” named after the Baja 1000, one of the most prestigious off-road races in the world. Further details are scarce, but off-road enthusiasts speculate that it could be a software update that reprograms traction control and stability, or a hardware update that adds advanced locking differentials, larger tires and/or adjustable suspension. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information as it develops, so stay tuned to this blog for further developments and all the latest Chevy Colorado news as it happens.  Phillips Chevrolet of Frankfort, Lansing, and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory and a great selection of off-road ready Colorados in stock now.
