The long months we’ve been anxiously awaiting official word from Chevrolet regarding the reveal of the long-rumored, now confirmed 8th generation mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette have now paid off! Yesterday General Motors CEO Mary Barra and Corvette Engineer Tadge Juechter took to the streets of Manhattan in a lightly camouflaged Corvette emblazoned with the date 07.18.19 – that means we only have 88 days to wait to see the new Corvette in its full glory. Chevrolet has remained tight-lipped about details of the new Corvette, but late Thursday they did announce, “It’s the sum of each generation before it, but will stand alone as the new standard of performance.” Stay tuned to this blog for photos and information from the official reveal event, as well as any other Corvette news as it happens.
