The rumor mill has been quiet for a few weeks about the new mid-engine version of the Chevrolet Corvette but we do have a new look at the camouflaged test version side by side with a C7 Corvette. We can see that the front and rear overhang stay about the same, but the hood shortens and rear elongates to accommodate the engine. Along with the engine, air inlets have moved to the rear. The exhaust has also changed, split into two pairs on either side instead of the four-in-a-row configuration on the current Corvette. We hope to see the mid-engine Corvette unveiled during Auto Show season this winter. In the meantime, stay tuned to this blog and we’ll share all the Corvette news we hear as soon as it happens!
