Years of rumors regarding the return of the Chevrolet Blazer as a midsized crossover utility vehicle are looking more and more likely to come true as a suspected Blazer was recently spotted testing in Detroit. The Blazer is expected to be built on the same platform as the GMC Acadia, and will likely feature a choice of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or a 3.6-liter V6, both paired to a new nine-speed automatic transmission. We’ve seen this new vehicle testing for quite a while now, so we should hear soon when it will be joining the Chevy Traverse, Equinox, and Trax in Chevrolet’s lineup.
