Super Cruise is General Motors’ hands-free semi-autonomous system that maintains a safe following distance, speed and lane position during highway driving. Super Cruise is currently only available in certain Cadillac models, but GM product chief Mark Reuss has announced that it will soon roll out to additional GM vehicles, including the Chevrolet lineup. Super Cruise allows hands-free driving on more than 130,000 miles of limited-access freeways in the U.S. and Canada, while monitoring driver attentiveness and giving an alert when they may need to pay more attention to the road. No timeline has been announced for Super Cruise expansion, but stay tuned to this blog for the latest news as it becomes available.
