When Chevrolet first announced the return of the Chevy Blazer crossover utility vehicle back in June, it was scheduled to arrive in early 2019. But here we are in the final week of 2018, and the Blazer has arrived in our showrooms! The Chevy Blazer is a midsize addition to the Chevy family of crossover utility vehicles, bridging the gap between the Equinox and Traverse. The Blazer offers plenty of flexibility, including 4,500 pounds estimated max trailering, plus seating for five, or 64.2 cubic feet of total cargo space when the second-row seats are folded flat. The Blazer will come with a standard 2.5L I-4 engine or an available 3.6L V-6 engine, both paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The new Blazer’s exterior design was inspired by the sculpted curves and aggressive stance of the Chevy Camaro, including a strong grille, athletic hood lines and low-placed HID headlamps.
