The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has been announced as the official pace car of the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500. 2018 will be the 29th time that the Indy pace car has been a Chevrolet. No other car has held this honor more often than the Corvette, at 15 times since its first appearance in 1978. “Chevrolet is proud to once again pace the Indianapolis 500,” said Steve Majoros, marketing director for Cars and Crossovers. “The ZR1 is the most powerful and fastest Corvette ever made.
