Chevrolet has just announced the name of the new 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 engine. This turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B engine is going to be called TurboMax. The TurboMax will be one of the four options offered in the 2024 Silverado 1500. Assistant chief engineer, Kevin Luchansky says that the TurboMax four-cylinder is “built like a diesel”. This engine has maximum output figures of 310 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 430 pount-feet of torque at 3,000 rpm. The new TurboMax engine will be available for several 2024 Chevy Silverado trim levels. 

The Chevrolet Traverse had a great fourth quarter of 2022, beating segment rivals such as the Honda Pilot, Nissan Pathfinder, and Volkswagen Atlas. With over 27,000 Traverses sold, fourth quarter sales beat the previous year’s fourth quarter by more than 23 percent. General Motors recently announced that the Chevrolet Camaro’s production will be coming to an end soon. Although no replacement or next generation has been announced, Chevrolet Vice President Scott Bell stated, “While we are not announcing an immediate successor today, rest assured, this is not the end of Camaro’s story.” To celebrate the Camaro’s legacy, General Motors will release a collector’s edition package on several 2024 Camaro models in January of 2024.
