The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado will be the third generation for the Mid-Sized Pickup. In addition to new styling, an overhauled cabin, updated model line, and new powertrain this year’s model will bring, it also has several new features built into its 500 lb capacity tailgate. The first upgrade is the measurement tool built into the surface of the tailgate ranging between 1 to 48 inches. Essentially a ruler, this provides functionality for those out on a job site or on the trails. The second upgrade is the tailgate’s versatility. It is now able to be positioned midway between fully opened and fully closed. This allows users to store items in the bed that may not fit with the tailgate fully closed, but without leaving it fully open. The last upgrade the Colorado incorporates is its storage system dubbed the “Stow-Flex”. Measuring 45” in width and 4” in depth, this secure, watertight compartment comes with a cupholder and drain for those who want to chill their beverages in ice. If the cooler concept isn’t used, it can simply be used to stow gear. The Stow-Flex is an optional extra across the 2023 Colorado lineup, with it being a standard feature on the ZR2.
