Both new models will cradle the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gas engine. They both will inherit the MW7 Allison 1000 six-speed automatic transmission and offer three wheelbase lengths – 132.5 inches, 150 inches and 176 inches. The 5500 HG will have a GVWR of 17,950 pounds and the 5500 XG will allow for a GVWR of 19,500 pounds.
