1. Lane Departure Warning (LDW):
The LDW uses two small cameras located at the top of the windshield behind the rearview mirror, one on each side that track lane lines in front of your truck and sends information to your Multi-Function Display screen to keep you in your lane. The LDW will also let you know if you are drifting between lanes.
2. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC):
Adaptive Cruise Control is a driver convenience system that automatically adjusts vehicle speed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front, slowing down or speeding up with traffic. It is an extension of cruise control. It requires the driver to hold down the ACC button, and once activated, sensors on your Silverado 2500HD will monitor traffic ahead of you based upon speed and distance.
