Tire care is a part of car maintenance that many people don't think about. It can actually be one of the most important aspects of maintaining your vehicle, as it directly affects how well you drive and how long your tires last. In this blog post, we will discuss two key components to tire care: tread & pressure.

Tread

To start off, we are going to discuss tread. You may be familiar with the term from trying to find a car with good gas mileage – "low-profile tires," which have less tread. If you are in need of new tires and want to get the most out of your purchase, one way is to look for tires with lots of treads.

Tread is the section of the tire that comes in contact with the road. The more tread you have on an individual tire, the less force there will be between it and the road, resulting in less resistance while driving. This also decreases your fuel consumption by decreasing friction between your tires and the asphalt.
