Since it began production back in 1953, millions of drivers have felt the excitement of sliding behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Corvette – 1.75 million to be exact. The 1,750,000th Corvette rolled off the production line in Bowling Green, Kentucky earlier this month, and one lucky entrant will be able to call it their own. Often milestone Corvettes like this one are auctioned for charity at astronomical prices. But this year, the National Corvette Museum is raffling off chances to own this piece of Corvette history for $200 each. The proceeds of the raffle help fund the day to day operations of the museum. “We are appreciative of Chevrolet for aligning the production of one of our Corvette raffle cars so that it would become this milestone in production,” said President and CEO of the National Corvette Museum, Dr. Sean Preston. “It’s exciting that in just 11 years Bowling Green Assembly has produced 250,000 Corvettes. No other sports car can claim that kind of production volume or enthusiast following.” If you’re already on the waiting list for a new Corvette, hold tight – your dream car is coming soon!
