In 2013, Road & Track magazine began awarding the title of Performance Car of the Year to the vehicle that provides the best high performance bang for the buck. That year, the award was brought home by the just introduced C7 Chevrolet Corvette and now, six years later, it is again awarded to a Corvette – the 755 horsepower Corvette ZR1. The ZR1 came out on top of a field of supercars all priced at least double the ZR1’s starting price of $122,095 – the Ferrari 488 Pista, McLaren Senna, and Porsche 911 GT2 RS. “The C7 Corvette ZR1 won because it brought out the wide-eyed enthusiast in all of us—IndyCar pros, club racers, and jaded journalists alike,” writes Road & Track. “Everyone wanted more time in the ZR1. Every aspect of the ZR1, from the rib-cage-vibrating engine note to the adjustable traction control, strikes a chord.” Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, including a great
