Revealed late September of this year, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD introduces a mid-cycle refresh, bringing multiple exterior enhancements, an overhauled cabin, and upgraded technology. Among the upgraded technology is a new feature called GCW Alert, a system that will measure the gross combination weight while trailering. With the feature toggled on through the user’s trailer profile in the trailer app, the aid will predict the gross combination mass of the truck and trailer based on axle torque and vehicle acceleration.
