J.D. Power recently put the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado and 2023 Toyota Tacoma in the ring together, and the Colorado came out victorious. Features such as performance and efficiency, safety and driving assistance, and infotainment and technology, were all compared between the two trucks, and the Colorado had the advantage in each category. In terms of Performance and Efficiency, the 2023 Colorado has a higher horsepower base engine (2.7L Turbo 4-cylinder) and two higher-horsepower optional engines (2.7L Turbo Plus, 2.7L Turbo High-Output) than Toyota’s base 2.7L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder and optional 3.5L V-6. While both vehicles offer impressive driver assistance systems, the Colorado was noted to have a more extensive, robust list – making it the winner. Among other advantages when it comes to the infotainment center, the all-new Colorado boasts an 11.3-inch touchscreen, whereas the Tacoma only has a 7-inch screen.
