The General Motors plant in Kokomo, Indiana usually produces precision electrical components for vehicles. But for the last month, GM has teamed with Ventec Life Systems to produce critical care ventilators to help respond to the Covid-19 pandemic. The first of those ventilators were completed last week and shipped to Chicago area hospitals, including Franciscan Health hospital in Olympia Fields. “The passion and commitment that people at GM, Ventec and our suppliers have put into this work is inspiring, and we are all humbled to support the heroic efforts of medical professionals in Chicagoland and across the world who are fighting to save lives and turn the tide of the pandemic,” said GM Chairman and CEO Mary Barra.  Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, and we share GM’s commitment to serving our local communities.
