The all-new, redesigned 2019 Chevy Silverado has so many exciting new features, it seems like we find a new one every day. Today we’re taking a closer look at the Silverado’s new electronic parking brake that operates via a button on the dash rather than a pedal on the floor like the outgoing model. The benefits of an electronic parking brake button instead of pedal include decreased maintenance, improved legroom, and reduced lower body injuries in the event of a crash. Having the parking brake operate electronically also allows it to integrate with other electronic systems like Auto Parking Brake Assist which automatically applies the parking brake after a driver lines up their truck with a trailer and shifts into park. The push-button electronic parking brake is standard on the 2019 Silverado model at all trim levels. Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, including a huge selection of trucks in stock, including the new 2019 Silverado.
