Chevy Bolt Stands the Test of Time

660 × 440

When the Chevrolet Bolt EV first arrived, Motor Trend named it their 2017 Car of the Year. The Bolt earned that award by offering a 238 mile range at an affordable price while still being a good car overall. Since then, Motor Trend has spent over a year and almost 17,000 miles putting the Bolt to the test to see if that first impression could stand the test of time, and we are pleased to report that the Bolt didn’t let them down! They found the Bolt roomy enough to comfortably carry four adults or a full load of planters and potting soil from the home improvement store. Even with some of their charging done at pricey public chargers, they still spent about $900 less than they would have gassing up a similar sized traditional car. They even proved that you don’t have to sacrifice long road trips when you switch to electric – they went 800 miles with the help of public DC fast chargers. Motor Trend sums it all up perfectly: “If you’re ready to make the switch to electric, it’s the best EV for the money you can buy today.” Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing, and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, including a great selection of award-winning Chevy Bolts in stock now!
