New Silverado Takes Towing Seriously

560 × 321

The more we learn about the all-new, redesigned 2019 Chevy Silverado, the more excited we get! This week, Chevrolet released details about all of the new towing-related features coming to the Silverado and they are pretty impressive. As soon as you walk up to a new Silverado in our showroom, you’ll see a new door tag that lists all of the truck’s vital towing specs like gross vehicle and rear gross axle weight ratings, max payload and the truck's curb weight. The myChevrolet smartphone app will offer a towing checklist, glossary of terms and the ability to test trailer lights without having to run back and forth from the driver’s seat to the back of the trailer. Those who tow regularly should consider a Silverado equipped with the available Advanced Trailering System with features to help assist in hitching up, track mileage and performance, and even monitor trailer tire pressure. “Ultimately, these technologies serve to eliminate common pain points of towing and help provide customers with a less stressful experience while trailering,” said Tim Herrick, executive chief engineer, Full-Size Trucks, General Motors. Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, including a huge selection of trucks ready to take on your toughest towing challenges.
